Carbohydrate Positive-Make It Easy!

We are all struggling with carbohydrates daily. We eat a simple carb and then we crave more simple carbs. Carbohydrates are not all enemies. Many carbs can be our friends. One way you can create a positive out of your carb loading or your carb choices is to put a number to it.

Although not all numbers are created equal. Some may fall on the negative side while others on the positive side. For example, if you eat green beans for dinner, you write +1 but if you eat a doughnut, you write down a -1. Each serving is a point either in the positive direction or in the negative direction. It’s simple Carbohydrates Made Easy! yet motivating.

This is is an easy way to start consuming complex carbohydrates that have nutritional value. It’s easy, motivating and can be incorporated into anyone’s goals. What do I mean by this? If you are struggling with too many simple carbs and you want to slowly replace those simple carbs with those that are full of nutritional value, this will work for you! However, if you are trying to lose a few pounds and just need a little motivation, this will work for you too!

GIVE IT A TRY! Simply go to nutrition.gov or cdc.gov and place a value either positive or negative to what carbs you ate for the day. Your goal is to make sure you are always in the positive every day. It is a competition with yourself. How many positives did you have versus negatives.
