Beyond Basal Metabolic Rate (emphasis on Fats)

We have all heard about the non-fat or low fat diets of the 1980s. We have learned so much more about fat since then. We have learned that there is good fat and bad fat. A fat called trans fats have been taken out of so many of our foods (for good reason). Overall, only 20-35% of our total calories should come from fat.  Specifically, only a maximum of 18% of that fat should be saturated fats.

When you are adding all your protein, fat and carbs. Just remember to keep your total fat % at 20-35% total.  I will be writing a blog on the different types of fats separately.
