Michele started her fitness journey the same way many other women do. Around the age of twelve, she started developing a poor body image and tried to control her weight by skipping meals, taking diet pills and drinking diet sodas. She would tag along with her older sister to aerobic classes three days per week. This wasn’t enough and there still was the voice in her head that told her that she wasn’t thin enough. She felt that she could never achieve the perfect look that she felt others expected of her as a female. But this problem doesn’t just apply to women. Men are susceptible to poor body image as well and take drastic measures to control their weight too.
Fortunately, Michele loves exercise. As she aged, she continued to learn more about nutrition and proper exercise to help her live a healthy and enjoyable life. Her desire is to give everyone a sense of empowerment in their wellness journey. Knowledge can provide anyone the tools to overcome a fear of exercise, confusion about nutrition and healthy eating, and a map to guide them from beginning an exercise regimen to a healthy, maintainable lifestyle.
As a professional for over twelve years, Michele has been a Personal Trainer, Wellness Coach, Spinning Instructor, and Fitness Instructor in Group Fitness, Pilates, Yoga, and Tai Chi. With her encouragement and support, she has been privileged to witness the same transformation that she experienced in her knowledge, confidence, and motivation in the people that seek her expertise.
