Lemon Water-What is it good for?

Lemon Water is definitely a “buzz word” in the fitness industry. Is it really everything you wish for? The answer is YES.

Lemon Water is great for digestion because water in general is good for digestion. You can drink it warm or cold. Some people like to drink it cold  since it increases metabolism a little bit more while others like to drink it warm in the morning/cold day. The more water your drink the easier it will be for your digestive system to work. This can equate to less bloating, less water retention and overall better feeling.

Lemon Water is great for your metabolism. The more water you drink the higher your metabolism. This is based off of a German study that showed by drinking eight 8oz of water per day allows the body to burn an extra 50 calories per day.

Lemon Water is a good source of Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps to keep our immune system strong and our skin healthy.  Drinking lemon water before or after your workout program will help your immune system as it starts to rebuild. Also, drinking it early in the morning will give you an energy boost as well.
